Hi, I'm Mikela Picard!

I am a recent graduate of Quinnipiac University's 3+1 accelerated dual-degree program. I graduated May 2024 with a BFA in Film, TV, and Media Arts and May 2025 with an MA in Cinematic Production Management. I have written, directed, and assistant-directed a number of award-winning productions during my time at Quinnipiac. I have experience working at a diverse range of companies, including Red King Cinema (Independent Production), The Exchange (Sales and Distribution), Focus Forward Media (Media/Video Production), and have worked on numerous student short films. Most recently, I completed my senior thesis, where we independently produced a low-budget short film from the ground up, fueling my passion for working in a production space. I have been making videos and crafting stories since before I can even remember. Filmmaking and screenwriting have always been a passion of mine, and I continuously develop content that shares inspiring and thought-provoking stories that resonate with audiences. I am currently in pre-production of my graduate senior thesis film and in the festival run of my senior capstone film! I hope to work in any section of the industry where I can explore my creativity, expand my network, and be true to myself.
